Long-Term Exposure to Air Pollution = Higher Rates of Uncontrolled Asthma in Adults

A new study shows that with long term exposure to air pollution, there is a higher rate of uncontrolled asthma in adults. In particular, air pollution including ozone and particulate matter showed these higher rates.

“The risk of uncontrolled asthma was 69 percent higher among those with long-term exposure to ozone and 35 percent higher for those with long-term exposure to particulate matter.”
