A study finds that taking B vitamins including folic acid during pregnancy does not have an
association to allergic diseases including asthma in the baby. Previous studies suggested there might be a link. The results of this study published in Pediatrics is good news as folic acid, when taking pre-conception and in the first trimester of pregnancy, has been shown to decrease the risk of certain birth defects involving the neural tubes.
