Do Chlorinated Pools Affect Asthma?

Summer is here and that means pools are open.

“The research claims that chlorine may increase risk of and exacerbate asthma.” The study found that the more hours over time that a child was exposed to chlorine, the more children that were diagnosed with asthma.

It is important that chlorine is used properly. If chlorine levels in pool water or in the air around the pool are too high, then it can cause irritation of the airways.
